This week, our itty-bitty tiny puppy, Bentley, will be four months old! I can't believe how time has just flown by and how GIANT he's gotten. Like a newborn baby, young puppies have to stay away from strange dogs until they are vaccinated against, well, everything. As of his vet visit this morning, he's up-to-date on all shots he needs to be introduced into the doggy world, especially: The Dog Park! There are two huge dog parks in VA Beach that we'd like to take him to. Our yard is pretty tiny and there isn't a leash long enough to give him the really exhausting exercise he needs, so we're all really looking forward to taking him to a place where he can run free of the leash for a while.
We're going to have to wait a few more weeks before he can go there, apparently the first Rabies vaccine a pup gets is only fully active about 21 days after it's given. The things these first-time puppy parents learn (can't wait to see what it's like when we become first-time human baby parents).
Mr. Bentley is "of age" and today he got his Virginia Beach Dog License! He's officially a resident of this city (which is more than I can say for Willow, or Daryl for that matter). Here are a few pictures of our no-so-little pup!
And our latest favorite picture:
I can't resist that face, no matter how hard I try!
